Deacon Organization (2009 – 2010)

The Deacons of Rock Springs Baptist Church are elected as servants of the church. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to, guarding the unity and harmony of the church body, serving as a council of advice and conference with the pastor, personal oversight of the needs of the church membership, support of church programs and events, active participation in evangelistic outreach, and preparation of the Lords Supper each quarter.

Outreach
Responsible for leading and coordinating deacon ministries in the areas of evangelistic outreach and inactive membership. Includes support of RSBC Ministers and Directors, church wide outreach events, and Sunday School outreach.

Shut In
Responsible for leading and coordinating ministries to those in the community and church body that are home bound for extended periods. Includes regular visits with delivery of Sunday morning worship tapes and bulletins.

New Members
Responsible for leading and coordinating deacon ministries to new church members and families. Purpose is to provide guidance, answer questions, provide awareness of church programs and procedures, and general assistance as new members are assimilated into the church body.

Special Needs
Responsible for leading and coordinating deacon ministries to church members and families in times of sickness, bereavement, and special need.

Benevolence
